Brad Paisley has digitally released Tacklebox – Disc 1, with the 13-track set finally completed, along with the addition of the final three songs: “Who Knew,” “Tell Them Your Life Story,” and “It’s Still Goodbye.” Paisley had also recently released the track “Out Of The Picture.”
Tacklebox marks Paisley’s first major new music project in several years and reflects both his songwriting history and the musical influences that shaped his career. The country artist has been unveiling tracks from the project since May, drawing on a mix of previously unreleased songs from his early career and newly written material inspired by the traditional country sound of the 1980s and 1990s. Paisley co-wrote each of the songs released as part of the project, which also includes “Fallin’,” “This Town Ain’t Small Enough,” “Without You,” “Hi Ho Silverado,” “Overnight Low,” “Helen Back,” “Someone Else’s Arms” and “Treading Whiskey.”
Brad shared: “In this digital age, I have every song I’ve ever written at my fingertips. There was such freedom in rediscovering the songs for ‘Tacklebox,’ the new ones we wrote, and the order we released them. They came from or were written about a nostalgic time period, a style of writing, and a sound. We wanted to give listeners that special feeling of playing a vinyl album or CD all the way through, if you listened to it top to bottom.”
Paisley recently wrapped up his successful European leg of the ‘Brad Paisley Live Tour’, marking his 10th trek across the continent. The tour featured 10 sold-out performances in nine cities, beginning in Helsinki, Finland, and concluding in Zurich, Switzerland, with additional stops in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany. Following the European run, Paisley returned to the U.S. for a July 4 performance in Provo, Utah, and will visit venues across the country beginning August 27, before concluding Oct. 9 in Corpus Christi, Texas. A rotating lineup of special guests will join Paisley on the U.S. dates, including: Jake Worthington, Charlie Worsham, Hannah Harper, Laci Kaye Booth, The Band Loula and Mackenzie Carpenter.
